At Daw Park Medical Centre, we are committed to providing high level of health care services together with easy access to your GP when you need.


For us to maintain the same level of service and coping with all the challenges that we face and to be able to keep up with the non-stop rise in the running cost for Medical Centers. Management has decided that we will - as of the 1st of September 2024 - increase the out-of-pocket gap fee throughout the week.


How it works

After finishing your appointment

Patients will be asked to pay the full consult fee plus the gap payment after the consults and will be able to claim their Medicare rebate via one of the two following ways.

Eftpos

Instantly through our EFTPOS Tyro Machine, given that patient has paid the full amount with a Debit Card (Please Note: Credit cards are not acceptable for Medicare Rebate Claims).


EFT Bank & Medicare

Patients can claim the rebate through their EFT Bank detail to receive the rebate into their bank account the following day, conditioned that their bank details are registered with Medicare.

     Important Information:


  • We will continue to bulk bill concession card holders, DVA and children under 16 years on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
  • Private Patients will have to pay for the full amount and claim their rebate from private health insurance provider on their own.
  • For all new referrals or to update an existing referral, a new booking with a GP is required
  • For all new, overdue and lost prescriptions, a new booking with a GP is required
  • Results cannot be given over the phone at reception, please either make a phone consultation booking or a face-to-face booking with a GP to discuss any results.
